Here comes the time again, when days are longer, weather is nicer and the nature is waking up after the winter sleep. Currently, since there is Coronavirus spreading, there is not much to do, but to stay at home or go to nature, where there is not a lot of people. I have prepared some tips what and how to photograph during the spring.

For these kinds of photo shoots are always take two lenses with me: Tamron 90mm f/2.8 and irix 150mm f/2.8. irix has only manual focus, so it could be harder at the beginning, especially with macro, but practice makes perfect!

Cherry tree
f/8, 1/200sec., ISO 200
Cherry blossom
f/3.2, 1/500 sec., ISO 100

In these pictures, I tried to have the blossom of the tree in the whole frame. I wanted to create a soft image. I left some blossom in front blurred, so the pictures have more depth and focused on blossoms that were a bit further from the camera. What do you guys think? I was very happy with these pictures, I used it as wallpaper for my phone.

Snowdrops
f/3.2, 1/100sec., ISO 100

Snowdrops are usually the first signs of spring. What I think is very important is to go down and go on the same level as the snowdrops. You might get dirty, but that's how it is :) I try to use some leaves in foreground, so they can be blurry, but those are not always available. Go in the morning, there might be a dew or take a spray bottle, so you can have some droplets on your snowdrops.

Magnolia tree
f/7.1, 1/80 sec., ISO 100

Magnolias are very beautiful trees and can help to create beautiful pictures. Go closer and check if there is one leave that is shaped in a very interesting way! I bet you will find one ;) or find one, that is for some reason exceptional.

What do you, guys, love to take pictures of in the spring? Let me know :)

Two weeks in Japan

Last year I got a chance to travel to Japan. We spent two weeks there and it was incredible. We saw a lot, walked a lot and took way too...
