Last year I got a chance to travel to Japan. We spent two weeks there and it was incredible. We saw a lot, walked a lot and took way too many pictures! I had two lenses with me, my standard zoom lens, Tamron 24 -70mm f/2.8, that I use for traveling and my wide angle lens, Nikkor 10 - 20mm f/4.5-5.6. There are so many places and events to take pictures of, I recommend doing research beforehand, to figure out when to come, what to take pictures of and if it is allowed to take pictures. In many places, photography is not allowed so make sure you are informed. Also you have to take into account that there is always a lot of people. We went to Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Koyasan, Osaka and Shizuoka. Here are some of my pictures from Japan.
